Going Home!

We were so exhausted, but wanted to get home as soon as possible... so after SBR's (Sweet Baby Ray) 24 hour labs, we checked out at 9pm on 11/3/09...

Sweet Baby Ray!

Thank God for epidurals! Seriously... After starting Pitocin at around 9am, labor became very painful by 11am. Anesthesia was in the OR, so I had to wait... took some Fentanyl that got me through until the injection. After that, I was numb; tired, but relatively comfortable. Sweet Baby Ray made his grand entrance at 7:50pm MST on Tuesday 11/2/09, weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces and 20 inches long.

Welcome, Little Raymond!

On Monday morning (1:45am), my water broke. We were scheduled for an induction just the next day, but he was ready and coming! We scurried to gather the overnight bag and camera and headed to the hospital. We arrived at around 3am and they confirmed that yes, my water had broke. We spent some time waiting in triage (they forgot about us), then we went walking to help progress labor. My last pregnant picture!!

Awaiting Sweet Baby Ray

Here we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our sweet little boy. Little did we know, we would head for the hospital just a few hours after taking these pictures. Even the cats were excited... can ya tell?
